ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR NOVEMBER 23, 2025

Luella King’s 100th birthday is next Sunday, November 30th. Her family would love for her to receive 100 cards so be sure to get yours in the mail soon. Address (also on the narthex bulletin board): 4240 W. Co. Rd. 48, Tiffin, Ohio 44883.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Operation Christmas Child. We collected and delivered 13 boxes this year!

Please see the narthex bulletin board for the flyer about an outreach opportunity to support residents of Good Shepherd with Christmas gifts. They have requested that any donations be dropped off by December 6th.

Our annual Hanging of the Greens (decorating the church building for Advent) will be today after our Worship Service.

Our Ecumenical Thanksgiving Worship Service will be held this evening at 7:00 p.m. at Hopewell Church of God with Pastor Dean providing the message.

A hearty “Thank You” to Deb Lutz, Ed Smith, and Jeanne VanBuskirk for your three years of service on our Administrative Council Board. Helen Emerine will be rejoining the board starting in 2026 so we need one more volunteer to join the board. Please see any council member (Marcia Abbott, Morgan Johnson, Bob Manz, and Shelby Lopez are remaining on the board), Lori Clay, or Pastor Dean if interested in joining.

Our next Men’s Breakfast will be Saturday, December 6th, at The Deli at Frost Village.

We will be having our Christmas Eve worship service this year at 4:00 p.m.

We continue our tradition of supporting a family for Christmas this year. Our family this year has three children under the age of six. More information will be available soon.

“Thank You” to everyone who made last night’s Spaghetti Dinner to benefit Connor Whaley a success!!!

The family of Cindy Miller will be having a graveside service for her at 2:30 this afternoon at Sandridge Cemetery here in Bascom. All are invited to join them and pay their respects.

Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are due back to church today. There are crosses and Little Jesus figurines to put in your box before you turn it in. Completed boxes can be placed in the office.

JOYS: Pastor Amy Kinney (St. John’s UCC) passed her ordination interview this past Tuesday; Pastor Amy’s grandson Kylio James (born August 28th at 1 pound and 7 ounces) was finally able to come home from St. Vincents Nationwide Children’s Hospital NICU this past Thursday; Judy Prosser’s nephrologist informed her that her kidney function had increased by 20%; Pam Denman is recuperating well from her knee replacement and has not needed to use a walker or cane for over a week; Anticipating time with family & friends on the day that we are able to get together to celebrate Thanksgiving; and we have a Heavenly Father who loves us, a Savior who redeems us, and the Holy Spirit who strengthens us.

CONCERNS: The family of Raven Broski who lost her two sons (Wrenn and August) as well as Wrenn’s father Dustin Willey in a domestic violence shooting this past Wednesday; the family of Ryan Eagon who was responsible for the tragedy suffered by Raven Broski and her extended family before taking his own life; Don Asselin has temporarily been moved to an assisted living facility in Whitehouse plus Don will be having a lung scan performed on December 14th; Judy Prosser was diagnosed with damage to her neck & spine with an MRI on her pelvic area to be scheduled; and Mila Lopez’s friend Willow will be having biopsy on a growth on her neck.
