ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SEPTEMBER 20, 2026

Carolyn Thallman (419-618-8911) is seeking prayer warriors to join her in praying at local schools through the Keep Watch movement. Their goal is to see every school covered in prayer so that the power and presence of God are experienced in our communities. Volunteers will need to complete on-line training as well as submitting to a background check. We have been asked to provide snacks for at least one of the biweekly weekly Group Nights (attendance averages 15 people) for First Step Domestic Violence Services. Please see the flyer posted on the narthex bulletin board for additional information and let Pastor Dean know of your interest in either coordinating or participating in this outreach.

Our next Men’s Breakfast will be Saturday, October 3rd, at GW’s Fine Foods in Tiffin.

The Fall 2026 Fostoria-Bascom Prolife Newsletter has been placed on the narthex bulletin board.

We continue to attempt to create a church-wide list of everyone’s birthdays that are not on the Community Calendar to be used in the weekly bulletins. If you have not already done so, please fill out one of the cards at the entrance to the sanctuary. Please write the names and as well as the month and year of these important dates for yourself and your immediate family members. Please place the completed cards in the offering “church.” Thank you!

The next administrative board meeting will be held Tuesday, October 13th at 6:00 p.m.

Please join Pastor Dean and the men of the church, for breakfast at GW’s Fine Food in Tiffin for our October get together.

JOYS: Sue Hedrick is expecting her second great-grandchild as her grandson Dominic and his wife Macey are expecting their second daughter (due date March 10th); Pam Dunson’s September 14th cataract replacement surgery was successful with her vision improving daily as she awaits her second replacement scheduled for September 28th; Betty Park enjoyed her first Ohio State University football game in person yesterday; Luca Lopez passed his hearing test on September 9th; and we have a Heavenly Father that loves us, a Savior that redeems us, and the Holy Spirit that strengthens us.

CONCERNS: Pastor Dean’s sister Carol Macenko currently has Covid; Ed Smith will be meeting with cochlear implant surgeon on October 19th to determine when & which ear will receive the first implant; Tim Heiserman’s revision hip replacement has been rescheduled for October 16th; Shelby Lopez’s neighbor Craig Freditz (719 Nickie Lane, Fostoria, OH 44830) has suffered a stroke (age 39) and a heart attack and is currently receiving home therapy as there are currently no openings at rehabilitation (please note that he is currently unable to walk); Pastor Bob Greene will be undergoing glaucoma & cornea surgery on October 6th for his left eye; Danene will be undergoing glaucoma & cataract replacement surgery on October 27th for her left eye (right eye cataract placement surgery is scheduled for November 10th); the family of Clarence (Clancy) Johnson of Fostoria who passed away September 11th; and Mary Sauder has been admitted to Tiffin Mercy Hospital to undergo monitoring of the heart.
