ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR AUGUST 16, 2026

Pastor Dean will be on vacation from August 17-23. Mike Denman will be in the pulpit on Sunday, August 23rd.

The church parking lot is scheduled to be sealed this Tuesday, August 18th.

All are invited to join our St. John’s UCC (Fostoria) brothers and sisters at their annual picnic on Saturday, August 22nd, at 5:00 pm. Please bring a lawn chair, a healthy appetite, and enjoy the food as well as music from Echoes of Grace starting at 6:00 pm.

On September 13th, April Ramsey-Bertz will be providing our worship music for the first time since the pandemic.

Our next Men’s Breakfast will be September 12th (the 5th is Labor Day weekend) at Billy’s Restaurant in Fremont.

We have recently become aware that we may not have a complete list of birthdays and anniversaries of our regular attenders and their families. In an attempt to create an up-t0-date churchwide list of birthdays and anniversaries to be used in the weekly bulletins, we’ve created cards for you to pick up at the entrance to the sanctuary. Please write the names and birthdays and anniversaries (month and year) of yourself and your immediate family members and place the completed cards in the offering “church.” After collecting them for several weeks, we will compile a list. Thank you!

Our church is required to replace two members on the administrative board at the beginning of 2027. This does not require any particular skill set, but merely a devotion of a small amount of time and is an excellent way to serve your church. Everyone who attends is considered a member of our local congregation. If you have any questions or are interested in serving in this capacity, please let Pastor Dean or a current member of the board know. Current members are Bob Manz, Morgan Johnson, Shelby Lopez, Helen Emerine, Carol Reisner or Marcia Abbott.

JOYS: D’Lo and Shelby Lopez welcomed Mila’s brother, Luca Alexander Lopez, on Friday August 7th at 7 pounds & 5 ounces & 20 inches; Briar Shaver is playing the alto-sax in the All-Ohio State Fair Band for the third year; and we have a Heavenly Father that loves us, a Savior that redeems us, and the Holy Spirit that strengthens us.

CONCERNS: CONCERNS: Lori Zimmerman will be undergoing a procedure tomorrow (August 10th) for her endometriosis; Tim Heiserman will be having a revision (second) right hip replacement on Thursday, September 3rd, in New Albany; Adilayah (Adi) Davis will be undergoing adenoid and tonsil removal surgery as well as bronchoscopy (a medical device that lets doctors look into your lungs and airways) on August 26th (please note that Adi also had tracheomalacia [windpipe collapse], oral dysphasia [problems with chewing food], & feeding disability [issues with nutrient intake]; and Nikki Vitt is again experiencing severe leg pain.
