ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MARCH 22, 2026

There has been a modification in our 2026 Ecumenical Lenten schedule as shown below:

• Maundy (Holy) Thursday (April 2nd) at 7:00 pm with Pastor Dean providing the message at Hopewell Church of God. This service includes a Hand-Washing Service and an open table sharing of the elements of Holy Communion for those who wish to participate.
• Good Friday (April 3rd) with a Tenebrae service at St. John’s UCC at 2:00pm. This service will no longer conclude with Holy Communion.

Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday will not be Ecumenical and will be at normal service times.

Our next Men’s Breakfast will be on April 11th at Frisch’s Big Boy in Tiffin due to Easter being the first weekend of the month.

The Administrative Board will meet on Tuesday, April 14^th at 6:00 p.m. at the church.

Addresses are on the bulletin board for those we are showering with cards to let them know that we are thinking of them.

Please see the flyer posted on the narthex bulletin board for the JB Tours trip to see “Jesus Christ Superstar” in Springboro (between Dayton and Cincinnati) on April 23rd.

As the first weekend of April is Easter weekend, we have moved our monthly breakfast to the second week of the month. Please join Pastor Dean and the men of the church, for breakfast at the Tiffin Frisch’s @ 9 a.m.

JOYS: Danny Pelton was released from the Toledo Hospital this past Friday and is currently undergoing swallowing therapy at Good Shepherd Home where he is temporarily residing in Room 215; Nikki Vitt had her first pain management and cortisone shots, both of which have decreased her pain level significantly; Judy Prosser has been released from Autumnwood and has returned home where she is continuing her physical therapy; Becky Bell (Heather Kreh’s mom) received positive news from her CT scan & echocardiogram and her high blood pressure will be treated with medication; and we have a Heavenly Father that loves us, a Savior that redeems us, and the Holy Spirit that strengthens us.

CONCERNS: Carolyn Thallman will be having her cataracts replaced on April 15th and 22nd; Pastor Dean is hospitalized at Blanchard Valley Hospital where he is undergoing treatment for optic neuritis; Tim Heiserman continues to work with his medical team regarding his left hip pain (possible infection and splintered bone) and had the cancer on his right ear removed by laser treatment this past Thursday (March 19th); Juanita Yambert has been scheduled for carpal tunnel surgery for her left wrist on April 14th, and her right shoulder MRI revealed that replacement is necessary with surgery to be scheduled after her wrist has healed; Judy Prosser has a consultation with her medical team concerning the cancerous tumor above her kidney on March 25th and a consultation regarding her five pelvic bone radiation treatments on March 27th; our brothers and sisters in Christ at High Street United Methodist Church (Carolyn & Janet Thallman’s childhood church as well as David & Daine Thallman’s church at the time of their passings) voted last Sunday (March 22nd) to close their church following their April 19th worship service; Crystal Hester is experiencing ongoing issues with her two intracranial shunts as her medical team investigates while the drainage settings are not staying on the set levels (possible electrical/magnetic disturbances); James Gardner (Cheryl McDaniel’s son-in-law) has been diagnosed with high blood pressure & pancreatitis and is working with his medical team; and Ann Zimmerman is still awaiting biopsy results from her recent esophageal polyps.
